Senda Sensei started Judo at the age of 8 and is still active at 86 years old. Mr. Senda and Masao’s family were relocated to Alberta during WWII. Masao was practicing Judo with Katsuta, Sensei in Raymond and that’s where Mr. Senda spent seven years working and teaching Judo before moving to Lethbridge in 1951. The Judo Club he started recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. His wife, Flo, 5th dan and his family are all judokas and are accompanying him on this memorable occasion
