I would like to take this opportunity to thank Brian Kalsen, David Miller and Craig Weldon for taking the time to research possible venues for the 2008 Junior Nationals. As you are aware, we’ll be hosting this tournament in July 2008. The potential cities were Ottawa, Oshawa and Mississauga.
Taking into consideration cost, venues and airport accessibility, it was decided that we will be hosting this Nationals in Mississauga. The tournament will be held at the Hershey Centre, home to the Hatashita Int. As always, when a Province takes on the responsibility of hosting a Nationals, and as some of you have been there, it’s known that the preparation,organizing and work is enormous!
Brian Kalsen has been named the Tournament Director. I’ve asked Brian to report back to the board in early September to inform us with any progress or information at that. I welcome any individual or club to contact myself or Brian Kalsen if you are interested in helping in any capacity to make this Jr. Nationals the best ever in July 2008. I would also appreciate it if you pass this message on!
