The Nickel Belt Budokan Judo Club & YMCA presents the 1st Annual Shiai at the Sudbury YMCA.

At the same event there is a new divison premiering: The Northern Grappling Challenge

Judo Ontario Annual Meeting

The 2007 Annual General Meeting will be held Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the SAO building, 1185 Eglinton Avenue East, Toronto, commencing at 10:00am in the cafeteria.

Committee chairs, regional representatives and officers submitting reports for the AGM booklet are reminded that their final reports are due in the Judo Ontario office no later than April 30, 2007 in order for the book to be prepared in time for distribution A detailed agenda will following the the mailing of the Annual Report.

The Liberty Bell Classic, one of the largest judo tournaments on the East Coast
and a USA Judo Senior E-Level Point Tournament, was held over the weekend
with more than 700 athletes in attendance during the two-day tournament at
Lincoln High School in Philadelphia.

In a tournament attended by athletes from Canada, Puerto Rico and Colombia,
a number of top-ranked U.S. athletes competed in one of the final events
before the USA Judo Senior National Championships, April 20-21 in Miami, Fla.
