Weapons Seminar - October 7

Thank you to you and/or the relatives you know who participated to the first part of the weapons seminar last saturday.

You can tell them that Simon Sensei and I enjoy having them with us.

Unfortunately we had not enough time to complete the program we had planned to do.

But there is another saturday afternoon (7 october, 14h30-17h00) and it will allow us to deepen the pratice, especially with the bokken and in yawara (jujutsu)!

Why not joining us ? It will be a great pleasure for us, even though you couldn’t attend the previous saturday afternoon… there are so many things to work on when we speak about distance, timing, cutting, etc.

And there is place enough for you if you decide to come and practice.

Don’t forget your weapons!

Hoping to hearing from you soon,

Sincerely,

Didier PERIES.

Ontario Junior Kendo Tournament

Hi everyone!

The fall Ontario Junior Kendo Tournament is quickly approaching and will be taking pace on Sunday,October 22nd at the Etobicoke Olympium just west of Toronto near the Pearson International Airport.

All participants must be 15 years old or younger as of January 1, 2006 in order to compete and participants do not have to be in bogu (armour) as there’s a non-bogu division where participants perform basic techniques.

Our deadline to submit a list of names is Monday, October 16 so if you can please let Mike-sensei know either in class via cell (613-277-3788) or email (mikea@globalserve.net) if the children would like to attend.

I’ll be away Oct 4 to 15 in Vancouver and won’t be able to respond to your emails if you reply to me, unfortunately.  Detailed information regarding the tournament is provided in the Word attachment below about directions, scheduling, divisions, etc.

Tournament fees ($20) are collected the day of the tournament so Mike just needs the name and age of each participant who will be attending.

Hope you have a great week!
Katherine
