Judo Summer Camp ‘06
August 14 – 18
Camp includes instruction in Judo, Jujitsu, Karate, Kendo, Sumo wrestling, self-defense & outdoor activities including an afternoon of beach training. Dojo discipline is emphasized.
Students aged 7 to 16 will have a varied and fun schedule run by experienced black belt instructors and former Olympians.
Camp hours are 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the
Takahashi Dojo, 5 Melrose Ave., Ottawa

Judo Canada invited the ever so wonderful Sensei Tina Takahashi to the Canadian Juvenile and IJF Junior Championships in Lethbridge AB on July 1-2 to receive an award.
The Certificate of Recognition reads: "To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Canadian Judo Championships for Women, Judo Canada wishes to recognize Tina Takahashi National Champion 1976, for being a pioneer in women’s competitive judo in Canada".
Sensei Tina also received a couple of Judo Canada t-shirts and knapsack with pins, water bottle, and travel mug.
Yvonne Lestrange and Michelle Boileau both former Ontario teammates attended as well.

Camp Beauvallon
Annual visit to Ottawa to see the Canada Day Celebration and fireworks and tour of Ottawa the following day stayed at the Dojo.
There were Two busloads (48 campers and 12 adults - councillors and parents).

A Technical Seminar was held on Saturday, June 23rd covering the requirements of the Yudansha Examination.
