A production of Kazenoko Theatre Company of Tokyo, Japan this playful interactive performance is about a little boy, Tetchan, who plays with his favourite train toy and accidentally falls into a hole - the entrance to the Wonder World! Performers interact with children in the audience and use their suggestions to develop the story. With this participatory approach, children talk and dance with Tetchan and experience Tetchan’s adventure together.
“Children may find it difficult to develop their real kindness, courage, cheerfulness, and rich expression without feeling security, trust, and self-confidence…This show gives children an opportunity to create a trusting relationship with performers by playing together… They’ll be able to go back to their own world with a little bit more confidence. These performances received a great reputation for children’s theatre bridging language barriers.
Yasue Omori and Midori Nobusaka have been creating and performing theatre for children for over 30 years. Both performed with the Kazenoko Company that toured Canada in 1979 and are considered the finest creators of theatre for young audiences in Japan today. Their latest creation is “ARUHI ARUHI NO SAN SAN SAN” or, “Tetchan’s Wonder Train”.

Voici, un “reminder technique” pour le mouvement que j’ai demontré mardi soir dernier, le 21 mars. / Here is a reminder of the technique I demonstrated Tuesday night on the 21st.
Nous avons etudié UCHI MATA, selon le livre KODOKAN JUDO de Toshiro Daigo. Uchi mata est une technique ASHI WAZA, alors que HARAI-GOSHI et HANE-GOSHI font parties de KOSHI WAZA. Lors de mon étude du Judo en Europe (France), j’ai eu l’opportunitée de me faire enseigner une forme plus KOSHI WAZA de UCHI-MATA, (projection avec les hanches). / We studied UCHI MATA as explained in the KODOKAN JUDO book by Toshiro Daigo where the techniques is considered an ASHI WAZA, whereas HARAI-GOSHI and HANE-GOSHI are part of KOSHI WAZA. When I studied judo in Europe (France), I had the opportunity to learn UCHI MATA more as a KOSHI WAZA form (scooping up of the waist).
Ma première intervention a été de démontrer l’étude technique de base de forme KOSHI WAZA ; Uke et Tori sont en position naturelle. La main gauche de Tori tient la manche droite de Uke au niveau du coude(extérieur). La main droite de Tori tient le revers gauche de Uke au niveau de sa clavicule. / My first expression of the move was to demonstrate the study of this basic technique in a KOSHI WAZA form. UKE and TORI are in a natural standing position, Tori’s left hand holds the right sleeve of Uke near the outside of the elbow. Tori’s right hand is on the opposite side of Uke near the clavicule.
Tori va créer l’ouverture pour le déséquilibre (KUSUSHI) en tirant très haut de sa main gauche la manche droite de Uke, comme si Tori voulait regarder l’heure de sa montre à son poignet. Le bras droit, lui, doit exercer une action de tirade en fléchissant l’avant bras droit de façon à ce qu’il prenne appuit sur la partie (clavicule, épaule, cou) de Uke. / Tori acquires the KUSUSHI by pulling Uke’s right sleve high with their left hand, as if Tori wanted to look at the time on their wrist. The right arm needs conducts a pulling action in such a way that Tori leans on Uke’s clavicule/shoulder or neck.
NB: Mon avant bras doit me servir absolument de levier. / Note: my forearm needs to act as a lever.
Lors de l’application du déséquilibre, je dois simultanément placer mon corps dans une position stable pour lancer le mouvement, je place ma jambe gauche à la pointe du triangle (celui-ci sera forme lorsque je place ma jambe gauche au devant centre le plus possible de celles de Uke). / As Uke is getting off balance, Tori must simultaneously position their body in a stable position to act on the throw by placing their left leg with their feet pointing out to form a triange (in front of Uke’s legs).
Pour bien lancer mon mouvement je dois être en flexion sur ma jambe d’appui gauche afin que mes hanches/bassin soient sous la ceinture de Uke. C’est à cet instant que je lance fortement ma jambe droite en tirant Uke. Mon action de déséquilibre se fait avec un grand mouvement de roue.(Toujours du haut vers la bas.) / To properly execute the throw Tori has to flex their left support leg and have their hips / torso below Uke’s belt. Tori’s action leverages Uke’s loss of balance with with a large wheel like movement (Always from the top to the bottom).
NB: Lorsque je débute mon déséquilibre, je me place immédiatement en position de projection (pointe du triangle). Je tire Uke à moi en lancant mon corps comme un balancier afin de le soulever et de le projeter. De la vitesse et de la force vous donneront de la puissance dans votre éxecution. / NOTE: As Tori starts the KUSUSHI, Tori needs to immediately be in the position to project the throw (Triangle). It is speed and strength that will provide the effectiveness of the execution of the throw.

Les entraînements du dimanche c’est pour tous les Judokas peu importe le niveau ! / Sunday morning training is for all judoka of all levels.
9h-11h, Sunday Mornings / les dimanches matins
Le judo est UNE DISCIPLINE sportive. La pratique du judo demande donc une certaine discipline. Discipline dans la facon de faire et d’être. Pour être et faire, il nous faut participer. La participation ne manifeste par la présence et l’intention. En judo, il faut être pro-actif si on veut évoluer. La réussite en Judo se trouve dans l’action de participer. Tout comme celle de gagner se retrouve dans l’offensive lors d’un combat. / Judo is a sport of DISCIPLINE. The practice of judo on Sunday’s is therefore a kind of disciplined practice. Discipline in the sense of both doing and being. To be and do, we need practice. Practice requires a presence and intention. To evolve in judo, one has to be proactif. Success is found in the act of participation. Just like winning occurs while being offensive during combat.
Vos résultats seront toujours à la mesure de votre participation sur les tatamis. / Your participation on the tatami will be the measure of your results.

9h-11h - les dimanches matin / Sunday Mornings
IL est important de frequenter les entrainement du dimanche, car la frequentation justifie les plages horaire de pratiques. Je le fais benevolement dans l’interet du Judo, du Dojo et de ses participants. Je me presente plus comme un guide, qui peux de part son expertise aider d’autres judokas a perfectionner leurs techniques et leurs facons de s’entrainer afin que chacun atteigne leur objectif personnel. / It is important to attend sunday morning training as it can count towards your participation marks. I do this as a volunteer for the benefit of Judo, for the dojo and its judoka. I am there more as a guide, who shares his knowledge to help other judoka perfect their techniques and training methodologies and to assist them to reach their personal goals.
Donc j’aimerais qu’une personne responsable ouvre le dojo a 9 hre pour les 2 prochaines semaines (mars 19 & 26) et qu’une ceinture noire prenne en charge l’aspect pedagogique. / I would like a responsible person to open the dojo at 9am for the next two weeks (March 19 & 26) and that a black belt take charge over the class.
Un entrainnement se fait a partir d’un minimum de 2 judokas desirants travailler certains aspects de leur Judo: technique, tactique, recherche, kata, cardio, endurance, resistance etc. / Training requires a minimum of 2 judoka who wish to work certain aspects of their judo: techniques, tactics, research, kata, cardio, endurance, endurance, etc.
